2023 Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award

I am on top of the world! (Well, nearly, at steamy Geysir, Iceland!) Thank you very much for acknowledging my contributions to our community and deeply appreciate this recognition with the 2023 Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award! I am grateful the folks of Sequim support my vivid imagination to provide inclusive and collaborative creative opportunities to be part of art together! I am thankful my parents and grandparents taught me to be in service to others and celebrate all our uniqueness through active encouragement. I wish to honor my fellow finalists, Pauline Olsen and Carol Labbe, as well for their important volunteer work! I missed the award luncheon while traveling with Will and owe lots of wonderful people hugs! 🤗

Thank you very much Emily Matthiessen and The Sequim Gazette for this lovely article “Colorful connections” today! Emily captured through words and photographs many kind, supportive voices and how we work together to build our collaborative community vision including Beth Pratt, Laura MacMurchie, Laura Segil, Theresa Rubens, Anne Milligan, Kyra Humphrey, and Megan Mae Coelho while highlighted my work with First Friday Art Walk Sequim, North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival, Peninsula College, Brain Energy Support Team, Virtual Worlds Education Consortium, Second Life, and the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce. I am so grateful! Thank you! ❤️🤗🌸
